 Tongass Mist Writing Retreat 2019

An eagle flew in from just across the Indian River, right over my head. It dropped in from the left like a parachute and then soared low in front of me. They are show offs, mating, testing your trust as they beg for attention. Have you been this close to the belly of a bald eagle? It is black as deep ocean and smooth as Queen Victoria's satin.

Also, the whip of a raven in flight as it percusses down, down, down on light evening breeze.
